While driving through Northern Wisconsin last weekend, I came upon two birds. One I knew was a Bald Eagle, the other I wasn't quite sure. The second bird was very large, much larger than the Bald Eagle. They were fighting over a dead deer on the side of the road, it had been hit by a car I'm sure.

Kicking around our woods the other day putting more taps on the maples for the sap run, I almost walked on this small skull. I'm pretty sure I let out a small squeal, or maybe it was actually a big squeal ;0

I asked my husband what kind of animal could it be? He said..."Does it look like his teeth are for chewing grass and small things or for ripping open another animal"? I thought it looked like the teeth were for chewing grass.

The skull is small, but not small enough that it could be a rabbit. I don't think it's big enough to be a coyote.

What do you think? Just another mystery from our woods :)
