hiking
We went hiking on Sunday in Wisconsin at Kettle Moraine State Park. We hiked 3.66 miles. The colors were not changing yet as you can see.

cactus in illinois
I have seen cacti down at Lake Michigan on occasion. I knew when we took our walk down at the lake that we just might spy some. My husband actually spied these two plants. Someday I would like to catch them in bloom. I'm guessing with all the sand dunes down there it makes a perfect habitat for these to grow in.

great blue
Heading down to the river the other day I spied this as we were driving. I had my husband stop the car just so I could hopefully get a picture. I couldn't get any closer and I was able to get this shot just before he took off.
